Smiles

Aren't these darling. These are the gifts you receive when you have talented friends.
They are baby towels wrapped up to resemble cupcakes. Her specialty is real cupcakes and cookies. Check out her blog: Sugar & Meringue

I went to a baby shower for my next door neighbor today. A great excuse to get everyone dolled up. Unfortunately, only one was awake at a time, so I didn't get a picture of all three together.

New Things!

This is our Easter picture. I tried so hard to have three happy babies, it just didn't happen. What can you do?

We had our 4 month check up. Everything looks great! Rylan weighs 12.10, Brett 13 and Brileigh 11! I was tempted to ask the doctor about cereal but I figured he would say no since they are only 2 months adjusted. Then to my surprise he told me to start them on it! Of course the video camera had to come out for this monumental moment! These videos are of their very first bites. They did amazing! I never imagined it would be this easy to spoon feed them. Since they started cereal they only get up once in the night now. Hopefully I'll get them sleeping all night before too long.

One thing I am very thankful for is their afternoon nap. After they eat at 1 they all lay down til about 4-4:30. SO I have been able to get down to my craft room! Hopefully I'll have something to show for my time down there soon. It's just nice to be in there and have a little time to myself. But now, I need to tend to a grumpy baby!

Ahh Spring

Hmmm, I've tried to load more photos but it's not working out for me. I guess we'll have to make due with one. The babies are a little over 4 months old! Can you believe it? We go to the doctor on the 5th, I can't wait to find out their weights!! Brett & Brileigh were posing for the camera, but Rylan thought something else was way more important to look at. They have been doing amazing, and now that the weather is warming up we get outside for walks. They love to sit outside and check everything out! That's a good thing, we'll be spending a lot of time out there! There is an Easter Egg hunt planned in the park by our house on Saturday. Of course the weather is in the 70's all week, until Saturday... So we'll just have to see what it's doing before we decide to go.

I've been trying to get some crafting done in my "spare" time. Mostly I've been working on a scrapbook for my brother. He is graduating from High School in May. After watching commercials for the cricut in the middle of the night while I was pregnant and couldn't sleep, I took the plunge and bought one on ebay. Brand new, half the price of Walmart. So it's been fun playing with that! So much easier for the novice scrapbooker like me!

Another thing that took up some time, the Twilight books! I hadn't seen the movies since I like to read the books first. I'm an avid book reader, but I put off reading those books because I knew when I picked them up, I'd ignore everything else! I bought all 4 and had them done in 6 days. I'm a speed reader, so after the kiddo's went to bed at 10 I would read for 2 - 3 hours! I'm glad I'm done, I was missing that sleep!!

Well it sounds like someone is up from a nap. I hope everyone is enjoying Spring so far like us!

Spitten Image

So everyone always looks at your children and tries to figure out who they look like. I could see myself in Brileigh but until I pulled out an old photo of myself, I didn't realize how much she looks like me. I was a little older when my photo was taken, so it will be fun to see how she changes with age.

Everything else is going great in the Hall household. The babies are spending more time awake during the day, so I have less time for the computer. They are starting to be a little more active also so that's a lot of fun. We actually got out for a couple of walks before the rainy weather showed up. Hopefully the rain clouds go away soon because we all enjoy getting out!

A Valentine Post

How to catch a babe...
(a sequence of photos courtesy of my triplets)

1st, Spy a cutie

Say Hello!

Try to act as cute as possible.

Try to make small talk.

Act really cool.

Oh she's warming up!

Go for the hand hold!

Oops too soon, she is not happy.

After she refuses your advances, try sulking.

Then you realize she's already with someone.

Hope you all have a wonderful Valentines Day!

Another Baby Update

First off, I apologize, I have been a horrible blogger! Can I use the fact that the babies came home Jan. 3rd as an excuse? I have been having so much fun with them, a lot of things have gotten pushed to the back burner. So far I've done it by myself and it's really not that hard. They came home eating every 3 hours. The feeding (and pumping) schedule was 10 1 4 7. I can feed them in an hour so that left 2 hours to sleep. I did take naps with them in the afternoons. After a couple of weeks I stretched it to every 4 hours. We are now on a 3 7 11 schedule. I for the most part don't need naps now, which is a good thing because there is always someone up between feedings in the day. They have their nights and days figured out, as on now they sleep between their night feedings. (Knock on wood that doesn't change!)

It works because they are my only priority. I don't have to do anything else, so they always come first. That's the nice thing about being self employed. I have gone into work with them a couple of times to catch up on paperwork, since my husband is not a good book keeper. Other than that we have only left the house for doctors appointments. I have had help with those, thankfully. Being winter I haven't wanted to use the stroller, so either my parents, mother-in-law or other family members have helped me carry them into their appointments.

As for the babies, they finally past their due date (Jan. 28th) so now they are starting to act like newborns. They coo a little bit and their eye site is a little better, they will focus on your face.

I finally got around to hanging some things in their room. It's pretty crowded in there, but it works for now. As soon as they can stand we'll have to figure something else out. I can already imagine them crawling into each others cribs with them that close to each other!

We had a quick doctors appointment last Friday to get a Synagis shot. They weighed them to get the correct dosage. Here is where we came in:

Rylan: 7 pounds 12 ounces

Brileigh: 7 pounds

Brett: 8 pounds 2 ounces

They've come a long way! And the fun is only beginning! I can't believe how blessed I have been. This bottom photo is of my dining room table. It has been transformed into a scrapbooking table. I've never scrapbooked before but always wanted to. I had a good friend Lori come over to help me get started. Due to our talking and baby playing I think we got 1.5 pages done all day! Luckily my Mom got me premade scrapbooks from Hallmark, so that will help a lot. I know if I don't start working them now they will never get done, so wish me luck!

Well it is nearing another feeding time, so this is all I've got to post today. Hopefully I'll be a little better in the future!

Baby Update

The babies are 23 days old today. They have been doing amazing! They are all gaining weight like crazy and we might be introducing bottles very soon! That means they are close to coming home! A typical day for me right now is get up, get ready, go to the hospital. Stay at the hospital all day and go home, go to sleep. Next day start it over. If I need to run an errand, I usually do it after I leave the hospital. I don't think reality has hit that once they come home, that wont be happening.

Rylan weighs 3 pounds 10 ounces today!

Brileigh weighs 3 pounds 11.5 ounces today.

Brett weighs 3 pounds 15 ounces today!
